For Children Aged 8 to 9
What is the maximum depth for NovoScuba Young Explorer or NovoScuba Ranger programs?
The NovoScuba Scuba Explorer or NovoScuba Scuba Rangers courses have a maximum depth limit of 4 meters.
What forms must be completed for children aged 8 to 9?
Before attending the program/course, parents/guardians and children must complete the necessary administrative paperwork for either NovoScuba Scuba Explorer or NovoScuba Scuba Rangers, as applicable.
For Children Aged 10 to 11
What are the ratios for pool training for children aged 10 to 11?
The ratio is 6 participants to 1 Instructor. Each course assistant can supervise up to four additional student divers.
What are the ratios for Confined Open Water and Open Water Dives for children aged 10 to 11?
4 Participants to 1 Instructor. The group can have a maximum of two children aged 10-11, and this ratio cannot be increased even by adding course assistants.
What is the maximum depth for children aged 10 to 11?
Maximum 12 metres
What can children aged 10 to 11 do after certification?
To ensure safety, it is required to have a parent/guardian or dive professionals accompany them when diving with a maximum depth of 12 meters/40 feet.
What forms must be completed for children aged 10 to 11?
Before the start of the course, both the parent/guardian and child should read and sign the Dive Aware: Scuba Explorers/Ranger form. Parent/guardian and child must sign administrative forms.
For Children Aged 12 to 14
What is the maximum depth for children aged 12 to 14?
Junior Independent Divers can dive up to 18 meters maximum. However, those with a Dive Explorer certification can dive to a maximum depth of 21 meters.
What can children aged 12 to 14 do after certification?
Diving is only allowed with a certified adult diver.
What forms must be completed for children aged 12 to 14?
The parent/guardian and child must sign the administrative forms.
For Children Aged 15 or older
What forms must be completed for children aged 15 or older?
The parent/guardian and child must sign the administrative forms. If the legal age in your area is above 18, a parent or guardian must sign administrative forms until they reach that age.
