What is the maximum number of students allowed for Confined Water training?
As an Instructor, you can have a maximum of 10 students in your Confined Water class. For every Course Assistant you have, you can add up to four more student divers.
However, if children aged 10 to 11 participate in the confined open water sessions instead of using a pool, the ratio changes to 4 students per Instructor. In this case, the group cannot have more than two children aged 10 to 11.
Before deciding on ratios, it is important to use good judgment and evaluate the risks involved. The ratios provided are absolute maximums unless stated otherwise.
