What are the age restrictions for Novoscuba courses?
For Children Aged 8 to 9
Depth Limits
The NovoScuba Scuba Explorer or NovoScuba Scuba Rangers courses have a maximum depth limit of 4 meters.
Responsibility and Risk in Confined Water
Before attending the program/course, parents/guardians and children must complete the necessary administrative paperwork for either NovoScuba Scuba Explorer or NovoScuba Scuba Rangers, as applicable.
For Children Aged 10 to 11
Pool Dives Ratio
The ratio is 6 participants to 1 Instructor. Each course assistant can supervise up to four additional student divers.
Ratio for Confined Open Water and Open Water Dives.
4 Participants to 1 Instructor. The group can have a maximum of two children aged 10-11, and this ratio cannot be increased even by adding course assistants.
Depth Limits
Maximum depth is 12 metres
After Certification
To ensure safety, it is required to have a parent/guardian or NovoScuba Professional accompany them when diving with a maximum depth of 12 meters
For Children Aged 12 to 14
Depth Limits
Junior Independent Divers can dive up to 18 meters maximum. However, those with a Dive Explorer certification can dive to a maximum depth of 21 meters.
After Certification
Diving is only allowed with a certified adult diver.

For Children Aged 15 or older

The parent/guardian and child must sign the administrative forms. If the legal age in your area is above 18, a parent or guardian must sign administrative forms until they reach that age.
